The "Ferme de Biarritz" is one of the oldest farms on the Basque coast. It was built during the 17th century. We brought it back to life while respecting Basque traditional architecture in order to offer you comfortable and warm rooms with independent access so you may feel at home away from homeOne of the rooms is a duplex. An outside stone staircase leads to all the rooms which are on the first floor of the farm.

The "Ferme de Biarritz" is situated in a valley between two green hills, right in the middle of the Illbarritz area in south Biarritz. Our garden overlooks a wooded area inviting you to a countryside stroll and leading the nearby Equestrian Centre of Biarritz, close to the romantic banks of lake Mouriscot.

The famous Illbarritz beach is an 7-minute walk away. You will be able to soak up the sun on the fine sand, or simply have a meal on the terrace of "La Plancha" restaurant. In the evening you cannot miss Biarritz most popular rendez-vous at the "Blue Cargo", a traditional Basque house, converted into a chic and in place to be bar just above the "La Plancha" restaurant.

A little further up from the Illbarritz beach, bearing the same name, you will find one of the most beautiful 18-hole golf courses in Europe. You will be able to enjoy its reputed Training Centre and impressive view of the course from the clubhouse situated on the top of the cliffs that drop southwards to the ocean and on to Spain.

The first thing that springs to mind when one mentions Biarritz is the ocean. Its famous Marine Hot springs and Baths are situated only a 15-minute walk from the farm. Marbella beach and its Surf Club are just below.

If you bring your car, you are only 400 metres from main roads leading to the centre of Biarritz, to the airport or the train station or even the motorway which will bring you either along the coast to Spain with its fabulous night life, or to Bordeaux or Archachon northwards. Biarritz train station and airport are only 5 minutes away by car.

On the practical side, two supermarkets are situated 500m away, an "Intermarché" if you go southwards or a "Leclerc" if you go towards the centre of Biarritz.

As far as nightlife is concerned the Basque Coast has a well-deserved reputation whether you decide to head for St Jean de Luz or Biarritz you will be spoiled for choice in restaurants to satisfy both your appetite and your budget. Why not hop to Spain where you will be able to experience the unique atmosphere of famous Spanish Tapas Bars.
